Carlos, former exchange student, tells us why Bellarmine is the best!

I was first introduced to  Carlos Sanchez when a group of Bellarmine students got together to celebrate New Years Eve 2010 in Amsterdam. Now over a year later, I had the pleasure of being hosted by him when we visited Malaga. It’s always so much nicer to be able to travel somewhere when you have somebody to show you the true heart and soul of where they come from instead of just being a wandering tourist. We spent those days going to the beach, Frigiliana (a beautiful village in the mountains), and exploring where Carlos grew up. Even though I met him indirectly, if it weren’t for the exchange program at Bellarmine, I would have never had the chance to make such a kind friend. It’s amazing how even when you go across the world you can still find a little piece of Bellarmine to make you feel right at home. Next time you see an exchange student on campus, try getting to know them! I know from personal experience, nothing feels better then feeling welcome into a new culture and you never know, you may end up making your next best friend.

Also here are the rest of my pictures from Malaga, Granada, Cordoba, and Seville.

Over the course of the year I'll be writing for Bellarmine Bloggers, journaling about my as a college student and a avid adventurer. In the future I aspire to jump into the world of advertising as well as pursue my love for photography, fashion, music, culture, and just creating. I hope that my travels will allow me to meet many inspiring people from a wealth of places so that I can truly broaden my horizons.
